About Julien

Julien is a partner in the Wimbledon office of Hartley Fowler and has worked for the firm since qualifying as a chartered accountant. Julien graduated with a business studies degree and did his training with Touche Ross.

Julien is responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio of commercial clients in all business sectors providing audit, accountancy and taxation services. Julien also assists personal tax clients to comply with the ever changing tax legislation.

Outside of work, Julien enjoys spending time with his family and helping local charities.

About Jonathan

Jonathan is an audit partner in the Wimbledon office of Hartley Fowler, technical partner for the firm and leads the firm's specialist charities and not for profit team. He divides his time between advising clients on a variety of subjects, providing support to the whole firm overseeing high level accounting and auditing issues and for professional compliance matters, training and mentoring of team members.

Jonathan's clients come from a wide range of sectors that include technology, property, venture capital, and a number of international groups. He works closely with owner managers and family run businesses delivering professional advice that helps them manage, run and grow their organisations. By obtaining an in depth understanding of his clients and their affairs, he is able to provide solutions that balance the needs of the business with those of the founder and family behind it.

With an extensive client portfolio of charity and not for profit organisations Jonathan is able to draw upon more than 15 years of experience to provide the expert advice vital in this sector. Running a charity is a complex and exacting operation, ensuring compliance with an increasing range of financial reporting, legal, taxation and VAT issues.

Jonathan graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in 1995 and joined Hartley Fowler shortly after, completing his ACA qualification with the firm. Now an FCA he became a partner in 2009.

Jonathan is married with 2 children and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends and, when the time permits, travelling somewhere warm for scuba diving.

About Christian

Christian a Chartered Accountant with 15 years of post qualification experience. Having graduated with an Honours Degree in Accounting at the University of East Anglia in 1993, he started with Hartley Fowler as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997. He carried out most of the office's larger audits but also worked with sole traders, partnerships and smaller limited companies.

Subsequently Christian was appointed PA to a partner before being promoted to assistant manager and then manager. He is responsible for many of the larger audit clients and manages a diverse portfolio of clients covering the motor trade, property development and investment, electronics retailing, management consulting, subsidiaries of multi-national groups, and charities. Christian is also responsible for the trainee Chartered Accountants in all three offices.

Outside of work, Christian enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.

About Emma

Emma joined Hartley Fowler in 2003 under a training contract after a year travelling and completing a degree in International Management and Modern Languages at the University of Bath.

After qualifying as an ACA she has gone on to become a client services manager dealing with a number of clients in various industries ranging from sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. As well as statutory accounts and audit work she spends a lot of her time dealing with management accounts and VAT return preparation and dealing with everyday client queries.

When not in the office she enjoys practising yoga, playing volleyball and socialising with friends.

About Chris

Chris joined Hartley Fowler in 2007 as an audit and accounts senior, having already begun his training as an accountant at a smaller Surrey firm in 2005. He had previously achieved an Honours Degree in Economics and Accountancy from Plymouth University.

Chris qualified as a member of the ACCA in 2010 and began to use his knowledge and experience from several years of auditing and preparing accounts to manage and grow a client base of varied companies, sole traders and partnerships.

Chris was promoted to manager in 2013 and specialises in small owner-managed businesses, membership clubs and client money audits for both solicitors and estate agents.

In his spare time, Chris is a keen sportsman, among other things. He enjoys both watching and playing, tennis and football in particular.

David Roberts

About David

David is an audit manager in the Wimbledon office of Hartley Fowler having joined the firm with the acquisition of Strover Leader & Co in 2012.

David is a senior member of the firm's specialist charities and not for profit team, he holds a Diploma in Charity Accounting and has over 20 years' experience dealing with clients in the sector. He was himself a Trustee of a large charity and understands the complexities of charity accounting and regulation.

David is a keen amateur photographer and has had photos published in various respected photography magazines.
